Baby’s First Year
Milestone sessions are a great way to capture all the growing phases of your sweet baby.
It's no secret that your baby grows a lot -- and I do mean a lot -- during his or her first year. Milestone sessions are designed to capture all those transitional moments from first smiles to sitting up to crawling, walking and running! Silly faces and big personalities! Having professional photos of those little details? Priceless!
At what age should we plan a Milestone Session?
When baby is ready for sitting but not yet on the go, I will capture him/her at the roly-poly happy phase when those big grins and belly laughs are lighting up your life. This varies for each child, but usually around 6 months of age, when they are able to sit unassisted. Sitting babies make the absolute best models, as they cannot crawl away and are easily entertained with peek-a-boo and squeaky toys. Portraits at this stage capture the beginnings of those dynamic personalities that will be with you forever, and give you a glimpse into the person they will become.
The first birthday is a greatly anticipated milestone in every family. At this age, your toddler will be interacting in lots of fun ways…standing, walking and ready to take on the world! I will document that infectious energy and charisma that brings so much light into your life. Don’t forget to ask about cake smash sessions!
How should I dress my baby?
Fancy dresses, overalls, shorts with suspenders, knitted rompers…the options are endless. I am more than happy to offer suggestions for your baby’s session.
When should I book my sitter session or first year session?
We recommend you contact me about 4 weeks in advance to ensure availability. I will do my best to accommodate later requests when possible.
